“A beautiful loft apartment in an outstanding location, ideally situated for access to the wealth of visitor attractions Salisbury and the surrounding areas have to offer.”

The property is set in stunning grounds with the River Avon running along the bottom of the garden, the decked seating area offering the ideal spot for relaxing at the end of a busy day. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and the loft apartment was clean and comfortable. We will definitely be booking again.

“It is a nice, comfortable, well equipped property.”

The owners are friendly, helpful and live right next to the property. The location is fine but there isn't much within a walking distance. The local pub wasn't open and the village itself was incredibly small.

“I was a little apprehensive about the steps given my disability but I needn't have worried, well thought out and built with comfort in mind, ticked all the boxes, I didn't need to bother the owners, good for them and me, yay.”

Thanks for sharing your space, it has to be one of the most peaceful places, to be able to sit by the river with a cuppa in near silence is so worth it in this day and age. A short drive to local places of interest and shopping a bonus. And then went home and then we had tea.

“A cosy, comfortable retreat offering everything we needed for a few days' break.”

Bed and bedding were super-comfortable, all equipment clean and of good quality. Salisbury is just a few minutes away by car, but we could escape to the tranquillity of Avon Turn View at the end of a busy day. A real bonus was being allowed to use the owners' decking next to the river, where we loved watching the river and its wildlife in the unseasonably clement weather - 4 days of sunshine in mid October! Shelagh and Martin were the perfect hosts - we even went home with some apples from their tree. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in this part of the world.

“We really enjoyed our short stay at Avon Turn View.”

It was so quiet and peaceful. We watched the swans on the river, a deer in the garden, squirrels and lots of birds. During our stay Sheilagh and Martin kindly let us use their decking by the river. We spent a few hours having drinks one evening, watching the river and taking in the beautiful scenery. We could even see Salisbury Cathedral in the distance. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The hosts are so friendly and let us have apples and pears from their garden. This place is very special and we loved it.

This charming, first-floor holiday lodge, Avon Turn View, is located on the outskirts of Alderbury, a peaceful community just outside Salisbury.

This wonderful residence welcomes a couple looking for a stress-free, romantic stay in the heart of Wiltshire.

It has a classy, wooden-clad exterior, a beautifully-presented, open-plan living area, and beautiful views of the River Avon.

Drive up, unpack your belongings, and then settle in to enjoy everything your new home has to offer, including a kitchenette that is fully-furnished with everything you'll need to make home-cooked meals for you and your loved one.

At the dinner table, enjoy a candlelit meal before turning on the TV and toasting your romantic getaway with a glass of your favourite tipple.

Treat yourself to a revitalising shower before retiring to the inviting king-size bed, which waits to provide you with a night of well-deserved rest.
