The property

The delightful medieval village of Eardisley, located between Kington and Hay-on-Wye, is part of Herefordshire's famous Black & White Village Trail. It boasts many early 16th century black and white cottages, a 12th century Norman church with a unique font, two pubs and village shop. The whole area is renowned for its beautiful countryside, which provides excellent walking, cycling, bird watching, fishing and canoeing in the nearby River Wye. The small town of Kington is only 5 miles away, with a number of good shops, pubs, restaurants and a variety of tourist attractions close by, including Eastnor Castle, Hergest Croft Gardens, the Offa's Dyke Path, the Mortimer Trail and the lovely walk to Hergest Ridge, the inspiration for the music of both Elgar and Mike Oldfield. Also within easy reach is the delightful town of Hay-on-Wye, with its numerous book shops, craft shops and antique shops, and the ancient city of Hereford with its impressive Norman cathedral and famous Mappa Mundi, a 13th Century cartographer's interpretation of the world.
