The property

A well-presented detached bungalow situated in the hamlet of Norton Ferris, Wiltshire, close to the borders of both Dorset and Somerset.

A delightful dining area in the conservatory means you can enjoy home-cooked meals whilst overlooking the garden to the Wiltshire Downs beyond.

Locally, you can take a gentle stroll along the nearby rural footpaths, take the easy drive to the National Trust's magnificent house and award-winning gardens at Stourhead, or visit Longleat House and Safari Park.

Within easy reach is the charming hilltop town of Shaftesbury, probably most well-known as the setting for the iconic Hovis advert, filmed on its steep Gold Hill.

Further afield, but still easily accessible, is the stunning cathedral city of Salisbury, as well as Wilton House, Stonehenge and the beautiful city of Bath, whilst the scenic Dorset coast also offers a lovely day out.

The Wiltshire hamlet of Norton Ferris is situated amongst glorious unspoilt countryside, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the borders of Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset. The hamlet is located three miles from Stourhead, just north of the small town of Mere, which has a few shops, including a Co-op open until 10pm. The nearby village of Maiden Bradley, just a couple of miles away, also has a village shop and a pub. This is an ideal walking area and is very well placed for exploring numerous National Trust properties and gardens. A visit to Stourhead House and gardens, just a short drive away, is not to be missed, whilst Longleat House and the ancient hilltop town of Shaftesbury, with the famous Gold Hill featured in the Hovis adverts, are also close by. The beautiful Georgian city of Bath, which features The Roman Baths and Pump Room, the Royal Crescent and the two National Trust properties of The Assembly Rooms and Prior Park Gardens, is just over 20 miles away. Whilst ancient Stonehenge, Wilton House, Salisbury and the stunning Dorset Jurassic Coast are also all easily accessible by car, providing excellent days out.
