“A fantastic stay - it was a week after the snow and we saw the weather warm up and watched the ice melt away.”
...we felt the same.....we just melted away with the cottage !! It was lovely, a beautifully presented cottage, decorated to the highest standard. We could not fault anything. The owners were very helpful, gave us hints and tips as where to visit (as we have triplet daughters who are artists). A welcoming cake and superb coffee provided, amongst other goodies. The location is great, you are just 15 mins out of Worcester - it is a really interesting city, lots of history etc but also great for those shoppers amongst us.. (teenage daughters) We also visited some National Trust properties and took a big walk in the Malverns, but we were so keen to get back to Hillview Cottage on most days and get the fire going with tea and crumpets, that we really want to come back in the spring and especially jump into the hot-tub on the decking. The beds are super-comfy - and the wildlife is just outside your window - I'm sure they want to come inside and join you. I chatted with numerous owls; pheasants; foxes and small birds at various times of the day. A very friendly neighbourhood indeed. I waited for the elusive deer that is a local resident, but I guess he/she was away on business.A great pub is close by - The Talbot at Knightwick (it's only a 7 min walk down the hill - but almost 15 min on the way up) - the menu looks great, we didn't eat there in the end, but it looked like a superb eatery and when we return, we'll definitely try it out. They have their own micro-brewery - producing some fantastic beers such as "This"; "That" and "The Other". All very good, but my favourite was the "The Pistols at Dawn". Fantastic stuff. I did ask the lady behind the bar for a try of "The Other", I did get the threat of a friendly slap - followed by the usual laughter that goes by someone who's had the same joke pulled over 1,000 times before .As you can tell, we really enjoyed Hillview Cottage - the owners have clearly put a lot of thought and planning into this beautiful corner of England - we say well done and thanks for the stay. Hope to see you again soon. Kind and best regards Richard & Karen White (The triplets - Rachel, Rebekah & Sarah)(In-laws - well never mind - Linda & Graziano)Loved it !!!!.
