    “We loved the cottage and would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.”

    The décor and presentation is fantastic as was the bedding and towels and there was loads of hot water. The lighting is great as is the huge table. The accommodation is the opposite side of the farmyard to the other farm buildings and is well away from any main road so is really peaceful with views over surrounding fields. There’s plenty of local walking right from the front door and Leominster shops are only a 10 minute drive away with 3 good supermarkets and lots of individual local shops ...

Our only real issues were the lack of drinking glassware and the heating in the downstairs area which steadfastly ignored the thermostat setting and was frequently over 22C despite our attempts to reduce it. The owner was as helpful as possible and is now on the case…. We would definitely return despite this. Recommended.

The historic market town of Ludlow is situated on the River Teme, amidst the outstanding countryside of the Welsh Marches. With more than 500 listed buildings, the town provides a fascinating range of architecture including Ludlow Castle which is over 900 years old and is one of the first stone castles to be built in England. Today the castle is open all year round and hosts a wide range of events including outdoor theatre, food, art and literature festivals and many antique and art fairs. Below the castle, Millenium Green offers a large public riverside green and weir and provides excellent indoor and outdoor dining facilities via the Green Cafe located right on the riverside. Ludlow has held street markets since the twelfth century. Nowadays, a traditional open-air market takes place in the town square every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday throughout the year.
