The property

Witney 7.2 miles.

Willowdale is a charming shepherd’s hut situated in a secluded setting on Tawney’s Farm, Oxfordshire, between Witney and Oxford on the edge of the Cotswolds.

Admire the beauty of nature with views of the surrounding countryside, and a private garden to enjoy with your well-behaved four-legged friend if you wish.

With access to the Thames path walk just a few metres away, and a choice of a few local pubs within a miles reach, Willowdale is ideal for a romantic getaway, or an individual taking an opportunity to unwind and explore this idyllic spot.

The property has been cleverly designed to provide a spacious yet inviting living area, with a woodburning stove and a fold-down table and chairs to dine with views of the owner’s horses trotting by and sheep grazing in the fields.

Immerse yourself in the serene landscape, which can be appreciated from the double bed for those not wishing to watch the TV, which is installed to be also enjoyed from the living space.

As well as all the mod cons in the kitchen, the fairy lights provide a welcome ambiance in this perfect base to get away from the world.

The dining table can be folded away and the bench seat can be extended to sit in front of the stable door, which can be opened to view the willow tree and beyond to the pond with its nesting moorhen where a kingfisher also visits.

The bathroom has a full-sized shower cubicle and lovely hot water, the perfect place to start or end the day.

Outside, there is a seating area with a barbecue, table, chairs, and a firepit for those alfresco evenings as Willowdale has a fridge, combi oven, and all the amenities required to cook the perfect meal.

If you can tear yourself away from this tranquil spot, there is an array of attractions nearby; from Bicester shopping village to the Cotswold Wildlife Park, and of course, all of the Cotswold picture-postcard villages within a short drive.

Willowdale promises you the most relaxing retreat in nature’s paradise.
