    “Lovely cottage on a working farm.”

    The cottage is decorated lovely and in a great position for exploring the surrounding areas but nestled away so very quiet and peaceful at night. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

The property

Inside, the cottages have retained much of its original character, with exposed beams complementing the contemporary furnishings and mod cons, offering a great base for a self-catered holiday.

Both properties enjoy open-plan living rooms, offering great social spaces for everyone to come together to celebrate a wonderful holiday at Tawneys Farm.

The sleek kitchens are certain to entice a spot of home-cooking, containing an electric oven and hob, a microwave and plenty of preparation space.

Both properties also have a washing machine, so that you can easily wash and dry your clothes after an action-packed afternoon.

Spend your evenings within the sitting area, by getting cosy on the plush sofa and flicking on the Smart TV, or in Kingfisher open up the patio doors and watch the wildlife on the pond.

The first floor of Swallows contains two bedrooms, one King-size & one double and a family bathroom with a bath so that you can indulge with a relaxing soak after a tiring day.

Continuing to impress, gather together within the enclosed garden area to enjoy a glass of something chilled, with the natural pond and endearing farm animals as your backdrop as you enjoy the balmy evening, with something cooking on the gas barbecue.

Tawneys Stable Cottages

Enjoying a rural and isolated position amidst the beauty of West Oxfordshire’s countryside are a pair of former stables, Kingfisher (1050968) and Swallows (1050961) which were transformed in 2020 into elegant holiday accommodations, and Willowdale (1161543), the newest addition, a charming shepherd's hut with idyllic views of the willow tree and beyond to the pond. Located a few miles from the West Oxfordshire market town of Witney and situated on the edge of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, these are the ideal properties for couples, families or groups of friends who like to be energetic, delve into a bit of culture or just simply relax and watch time go by on the farm.
