Everything was perfect, house, location, the only criticism would be the garden furniture & outdoor maintenance could have been better.

Small issue but positive criticism. All in all another wonderful stay & I would totally recommend

We were a group of four females away for a few days.

Having four bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect. It is a spacious and comfortable property with outside seating which was a bonus. A parasol would have been helpful in the intense heat as would fans in bedrooms to make sleeping more comfortable. Great location for walking into Stow and plenty of parkin

Excellent well-equipped house and perfect location just on the edge of the town.

All facilities on the doorstep so car not needed for shops/restaurants/pubs. Nice outdoor seating for al fresco dining/drinking. All rooms very spacious and clean.

I found the settee too wide for my legs and found it difficult to sit up.

Also the shower in the big bedroom downstairs was very tight. Otherwise I loved the place and so did the rest of my family.

We found the cottage very comfortable and homely.

One of our group commented 'They've thought of everything.' To which we all agreed. Delightful stay. Cottage is in a good location for exploring Stowe and the surrounding villages and towns of the beautiful Cotswolds. Thank you.

A comfortable and well located property in the heart of the Cotswolds.

The bedrooms are comfortable and warm and the kitchen is well equipped. You can walk into the local town and a supermarket is only a few minutes away. There is a gas BBQ in the garden although we didn't use it. A great location to visit nearby NT properties, gardens and the excellent Batsford arboretum

A lovely property located very close to the town and opposite The Bell.

This was second time we have stayed and we would definitely return again.

Six of us had a lovely week in Bell Garden.

The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The house is close to the town and The Bell Pub two minutes away is good for meals. The area is beautiful and Stow is a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. We would recommend Bell Garden. Our only comments would be that the sofas in the living room were uncomfortable and the house was on the chilly side. A fire in the living room warmed it up so we were comfortable.

Booked Bell Garden for my 80th birthday celebration and it comfortably housed eight of us and lived up to its description.

Perfectly located with the Bell across the road for a celebration dinner, but also well stocked kitchen to cook for us all.

Extremely beautiful house inside and out.

All the rooms were just like photos and were very clean and tidy. We had a very enjoyable four nights stay for an 80th birthday celebration so all the family could be together. Would highly recommend staying here. it is in walking distance to town centre and opposite a great pub the Bell Inn. Hope to return soon.

What a fantastic property everything provided for a long weekend.

The log fire was perfect addition. All rooms had their own ensuites This is close to all the local shops and restaurants and in spitting distance of The Bell public house. Would highly recommend this property.

Just returned from a pre Christmas family gathering where we stayed at Bell Garden.

The house was warm and clean. Lots of space for us all helped by all the rooms having its own bathroom. Beds very comfy. The owner had decorated it for Christmas which was lovely. I’m struggling to say anything because it was all so perfect. Your just on the edge of Stow but it’s very quiet five minutes walk to the town which is a typical Cotswold town, lots of little artisan shops. Loads of places to eat out. Ideally situated to see the Cotswolds and Cheltenham. I would highly recommend this property Visited December 2025.

Very good location. So easy to walk up into Stowe to browse the interesting shops.

The Bell Garden is a really great place to stay and explore the Cotswolds, The house is a lovely property for large groups of people with a great pub 3 minutes walk away!

Bell Garden is a lovely spacious property, nicely furnished with good off road parking.

It is an ideal location for a short walk into the village and also for visiting further afield surrounding areas by car.

Very well equipped and spacious. We had a maintenance issue with a shower and it was dealt with very quickly.

We have just returned after a lovely week long stay at Bell Garden.

The location is an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds. Everything was so close such as the Wildlife park, Bourton and Jeremy Clarksons Farm and pub. Even the walking proximity to the high street of Stow is less than a couple of mins. We went as a family of 7 spanning 3 generations along with two dogs. 4 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms was ideal for us. Plenty of space and everything you would need. The kitchen had most things you'd need, there's Sky tv, plenty of seating in the lounge, a nice big dining table etc. It was clean and homely. The wrap around garden was fun for the dogs to chase one another, but be mindful of the low wall behind the car spaces if you have a large or bouncy dog!! I saw a review about traffic noise but when inside we didn't really hear it, the rooms are triple glazed. We did struggle slightly with one person in our group with the steps to get into the property but once in all was great. My only pointers would be is the beds downstairs were a little hard and uncomfortable/lumpy and could do with new mattresses and a couple more keys would have been helpful for when we all went out to different places for the day. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return again, thank you.

A few areas need a little refresh, nothing major and overall loved the place.

We’ve just returned from a very enjoyable 3-night stay at Bell Garden.

As four couples in our late 60s and early 70s, we found the house perfectly suited to our needs. The four ensuite bedrooms were a real plus, and the spacious layout—both indoors and out—made for a very comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the seating areas at both the front and back of the house, which were even more enjoyable thanks to the great weather. The location is excellent—right across from the pub and within easy walking distance of Stow’s shops, restaurants, and other amenities. Overall, the house, its facilities, and the surroundings were hard to fault. A few small suggestions that could make it even better: 1. A garden umbrella for the rear patio 2. Oven gloves for the kitchen 3. Non-metal cooking utensils to protect non-stick pans 4. A larger bottle of washing-up liquid and more dishwasher tablets (though easily picked up nearby) All in all, a lovely house in a fantastic location—we’d happily return.

The house was lovely, very spacious and comfortable and very suitable for my family.

There was an issue with the hot water, but this was fixed. Could do with a few more mugs, but otherwise well stocked. The tin opener didn’t work. There were no dishwasher tablets which was a bit disappointing and only the bare minimum of toilet rolls. Lots of nice toiletries thanks.

The property was absolutely beautiful, really decent sized rooms, great kitchen and the BBQ worked a treat!

The house was spotless on arrival and the dreaded spiders in other holiday lets that haunt me every year we’re nowhere to be seen because this was a really well cleaned and maintained property - will be coming back for sure, thank you! Stow town centre just up the road and everywhere so dog friendly, it was just great and the walks, drives and places to visit! Thank you for keeping this property in such good order.

Great cottage and very well-located in the village.

I would only add that it is quite exposed, which is of course not a huge problem.

lovely location, easy walk into town for shops, restaurants and pubs, cottage is very nice with two large bedrooms downstairs, one with access to back door, so was easy to let dog out in morning, bedrooms upstairs very good and bathrooms nice size, made a very nice holiday for family weather not the best but had a log fire in the evening.

Wonderful house in a superb location.

The property was beautifully decorated and was well equipped with everything we needed. It was a very cold weekend but house was suitably heated. Cant recommend this property highly enough. Great base for visiting the Cotswold.

It was very convenient for the shops and pubs in Stow. The friendly owner was very responsive to our queries and we plan to return for another week.

Somebody has put a lot of thought and effort into providing everything anyone would need to enjoy a stay at this house. It was well maintained, well presented and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our family stay at Bell Gardens, lovely and roomy for us all, location was perfect for the very well equipped village and a pleasure to walk round, very convenient for trips to other villages, the Bell pub opposite was visited regularly with very accommodating staff.

The only quibble we had was the pillows are very hard and flat and desperately need changing, but having said that we wouldn’t hesitate to return for another stay here. Loved it

Lovely property, well situated.

Cottage and location is amazing.

Had all the facilities and space and comfort for a lovely stay. We all loved it. Only feedback is that the cottage could get very cold and the thermostat was set very low so although the handover info asked not to touch the thermostat we had to turn it up to warm up the cottage as we had two older guests who felt the cold. Otherwise everything was perfect, so peaceful and welcoming.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property- it is in an excellent position, close to the village, lots of wonderful cafes and super places to eat.

The accommodation is superb, it’s very clean and the kitchen has all the equipment anyone could wish for . if the weather is suitable there is lots of lovely seating outside the front and back of the house. The living room has lovely comfortable sofas. The only recommendation would be to buy new pillows as most of them are quite flat and worn and the bed in the annex part of the house needs replacing, I think it must have had some wear and is now not comfortable. Apart from that it is an excellent accommodation in a beautiful part of the world.

It would be good if all the paths and driveways were brushed and power washed. Because of the wet weather they were pretty slippery at times. A bit dangerous for children who only run and don’t walk!!!!!

An Icelandic family of eight enjoyed a wonderful stay in Bell Garden for 7 nights.

The house is beautiful and the garden is well kept. Rooms have plenty of space and the living room has a large dining table and is stocked with board games and magazines. We cooked lovely dinners in the kitchen which is modern, with a large refrigerator, a freezer and a gas stove. The outside grill was so well cleaned it was as if new. The Bell pub is just across the driveway and the main street is lined with shops and restaurants. We made so many great memories in the Bell Garden and highly recommend staying there!

The cottage was great the location couldn’t have been any better it was central to everywhere easy to get to and loads of parking as we had four cars and very private we had good weather but not good enough to sit outside which was a shame as there were loads of chairs and a bbq to use

Lovely cottage let down by a few things.

Log stove wouldn’t draw, very disappointing & others seem to have had same problem. Kitchen pans very battered. No instruction booklets or leaving info. Downstairs en-suite, top light has no switch? How to turn on? In 2 showers, mixer tap wouldn’t operate handheld shower head. A small milk jug would be useful.

We had a lovely time at Bell Cottage, the photos don't do the property justice.

It's far nicer when you're there. The location was perfect for us, the facilities at the property were excellent. There were 8 of us staying at Bell Cottage so it was quite busy in the morning with all of us getting ready. I had a shower at 9am and there was no hot water which wasn't great. Check in at 4pm doesn't leave a lot of the day to enjoy the property but we made ourselves busy in the town, however we all felt that a 10am check out is a bit mean, it means you can't end your break in a relaxed way. 8 of us seated at a table for breakfast and having to get showered and packed and out for 10am is a rush . We can't fault the property but feel that the check out should be midday to allow a stress free end to an enjoyable break. Kind regards Mr L Ashby

Lovely house that accommodated 7 of us easily.

Having a large oven over Christmas was superb! Great location being a few minute stroll from the centre of town. We all had a lovely time and thoroughly loved Stow - we will be back!

We loved the property and it was perfect for our needs.

The following are simply things that you might wish to consider in order to make future guests even more comfortable: - the Internet in back bedroom (the one that has been converted from the garage) is non existent. Difficult as a visitor from overseas - I churned through my roaming data. Maybe consider a booster? By the way, I did not find this room cold at all, as some previous reviews have mentioned. - we needed to leave a day early for family reasons and therefore received the departure instructions after we left. We looked everywhere in the house for them, as I like to leave properties exactly as the owner wishes, but there was very little information. As a result we were not able to strip the beds as requested. Perhaps consider leaving departure info in the house or providing it on arrival. - I couldn’t get the wood burner to draw (and I live in a house where my only heating is a wood burner, so I’m pretty experienced!). It smokes badly when you open the door. I wonder if the chimney could do with a clean? Either way, some instructions would be useful - there are a lot of vents and, even with my experience, it was complicated.

Our second stay at Bell Garden.

Perfect for three generations, we had a lovely holiday. Plenty of room in the house, lots of parking and a few minutes walk to the centre of Stow-on-the Wold. There were a few minor maintenance issues which we did report.

The house was amazing- it was furnished to a high standard and had all the equipment that anyone could wish for.

The house was so clean and welcoming, the flowers, milk and Prosecco were very much appreciated- thank you! It is in ideal location to explore villages in the Cotswolds and it is only a 5 minute walk into Stow on the Wold where we had wonderful food in 'The Porch House' and 'The Sheep' We would highly recommend this house, we have been back home 3 days have already booked the house for next year! We had a slight problem with hot water but Sykes Company and the owner were so efficient and the owner came on the same morning has the problem was reported and all was resolved. There is a little problem with the shower taps, as soon as your hands are wet no one in the family could turn the taps off or on in any of the showers, they are so slippery, without getting the aid of a towel.

Really enjoyed our stay at Bell Garden, Stow on the Wold is an excellent location for seeing the main towns of the Cotsworld.

.. highly recommend a trip Broadway, Bourton on the water (first thing before the coaches arrive), plus a trip to Daylesford Organic is a must!!!! Plenty of places for dinner in S-o-t-W, all within walking distance of the house. I would ask the owners to get a bowl for the kitchen sink, as it would make washing up a lot easier and us less water!!!

We have just returned from a lovely family week here with our grown up children.

Excellent location, great for local walks direct from the property, 50m from the Bell pub itself, and only 100m from other pubs, restaurants and the busy centre of Stow. Two of our children arrived by train which was easy as Moreton in Marsh station is just 15mins away with a regular service from London. The house itself was very comfortable and well equipped, clean with good showers and plumbing throughout. There was a comfortable lounge / dining space for 8 adults. The back patio had a good quality gas BBQ and seating, but was close to a busy road so quite noisy at times with traffic. The house was well sound-proofed, however, so inside the property was fine. The bedrooms all had comfortable beds. The properly was enclosed and gated, which was great for our dog (although he did manage to escape through the hedge once… ), but certainly very safe for children. We had a great stay and would love to return.

If I could provide some positive feedback it would be to add a bowl for the kitchen sink, some antibacterial spray and some jig for the sink? Thank you, we would love to come back and stay.

We had a lovely week at Bell Garden.

Felt homely and comfortable. Lots of room in the house. Garden was good for the children. A couple of items. The windows were extremely dirty, both inside and out. They obviously hadn’t had a clean for a long time. Windows with secondary double glazing were particularly dirty. Lots of bird muck around the garden which would have benefited from a good sweep. Two sun beds for use in the garden were broken.

Great accommodation and amazing location, perfect for my dads 70th birthday celebration.

My only comment is that directions to find the property could be slightly clearer but apart from that it was brilliant.

A beautiful cottage in a very convenient location.

I have been there twice and will definitely book it again.

The house was immaculate and so clean, really fab locations

The house is situated in a delightful setting in Stow, very easily accessible by car and perfectly situated for getting around to explore the town, shops and pubs on foot.

The house is well presented and we stayed over the festive period and I was worried about cooking Christmas dinner for the whole family with limited kitchen accessories and equipment but this was not the case at all, there were many pots, pans and baking equipment it was easier here than at home! One let down of the house is the dining arrangement, the chairs are oversized and seat 6 adults snuggly, we had a family member visit for the day and although it’s an eight sleeper house getting 8 chairs around the table in the space in the house would be rather uncomfortable. All the bedrooms has plenty of storage and were comfortable to sleep in but watch your head in the eaves of the two upstairs rooms! The second bedroom downstairs which feels like a garage conversion was always cold even with the radiator turned up. Again the bathrooms were a good size with good towels and the showers were nice with lots of hot water. Remember to bring your own toilet roll though as we were left with four rolls for 6 adults for a week. One minor tweak is that the larger downstairs shower could have a rail added to make is more accessible for those with mobility issues, one of our guests struggles with mobility and felt uncomfortable using the shower without a rail. The house was generally well presented and clean, however when we arrived the cleaning team were still working hard but a few areas could have been swept better, there were some sweets under the sofa and confetti left in the dining chairs but these were small things. We did thoroughly enjoy our stay and would recommend this house and the pub across the road!

The house is perfectly located close to the restaurants, pubs and shops in Stow on the Wold with everything within walking distance. The house itself is spacious, beautifully decorated and has everything you could ever need and more. We loved it. The owner quickly sorted out a minor hot water issue and was really helpful. We had a great weekend with family and will definitely return.

We are regular visitors to the Cotswolds and Bell Garden is one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in if not the best .

The house was very spacious and exactly as described. The location was excellent, especially having The Bell pub just over the road! The Sunday lunch there was excellent. The property is ideally situated for walking around the lovely village of Stow. It’s well equipped and is a great place to return to at the end of a busy day. This property is a genuine find and somewhere we would definitely want to return to. Thank you to the owners for making our stay so enjoyable.

Bell Garden was perfect for our stay for our daughters wedding locally, easily accommodating 4 adults and 2 children in great comfort with modern fittings and decor.

It's central location, so close to all amenities one could hope for was ideal with various other family and friends staying at hotels and houses within a very short walk.

Absolutely loved this place :) The roads either side of the property are slightly distracting but certainly nothing to worry about.

Hi, we did come and see your office as we were leaving on Monday.

We had a fantastic stay in a beautiful house but there were a few issues. The downstairs toilet had no hot water, in general the house was cold even when the heating was on it was chilly and 2 bathrooms had no heat from the radiators but the kitchen accessories was the most disappointing. 4 champagne flutes for a house that sleeps 8!!. We eat in when we visit and there is a lack of equipment, no serving platters, dishes for veg, serving spoons etc. we put nibbles out and then had to wash bowls before we could eat dessert. We took photos of the baking sheets that had the top layer of Teflon literally flaking off, the frying pans have lost their non stick surface. The kitchen accessories desperately need changing and upgrading, we went out and bought 2 platters for ourselves which we felt was poor for a house of this standard and price range. Feedback from yourselves as to whether anything will be upgraded would be appreciated as we would dearly love to return next year.

Spotlessly clean and well equipped. And a perfect location in Stow on the Wolds as well as for visiting the Cotswolds. We would absolutely love to return one day.

Lovely property and great location with good facilities but we felt it could have done with a spring clean as cobwebs were visible throughout the property and the coffee maker had mould in the filter.

Amazing property in a great location.

We stayed with our baby, dog and grandparents. So easy with ample car parking, short stroll to town, lots of comfy seating for everyone including outdoor furniture. Would highly recommend!
