“Very warm character cottage, well equipped and comfortable beds.”

Excellent location for shops, restaurants and theatre. Parking pass very useful. I am not especially fussy but: On the downside my husband had to wash the dishes before we could use them as were very grubby (glasses smeared etc. ) . The whole place needed a proper clean . Lots of dust and general grime. Chest of drawers in twin room had hairs in it and behind had not been dusted for years. Tissue on floor by bed so obviously bed isn’t pulled out to clean and be checked for detritus . Bed ...

Bed cover grubby. Pillows, bed and duvet very good. Smell of dog on landing was very unpleasant. Bathroom - shower, toilet and sink clean but again shelf and ledges need wiping. Very basic cleaning to main facilities. Kitchen clean but tap constantly dripping. Bowl Was full of water when we arrived. Floor mucky. Sitting room . Chairs very grubby. Sofa seats need taking off and hoovering as crumbs and other stuff have been left under them including a chip! All in all a very sweet cottage let down by insufficient all round standard of cleaning.

The property

One Masons Court, the oldest house in Stratford upon Avon, is one of the rare instances where it is possible to stay in a historic and noteworthy building.

This historic and breath-taking abode, which dates to the 15th century, is located right in the middle of one of England's most significant (historically) towns.

You are a stone's throw away from the centre of Stratford, where there are a variety of activities to keep you busy.

You enter a quiet courtyard shared with a few other old residences as soon as you leave the main street and pass through a private walkway.

Peace!

Inside, it is beautifully decorated.

Smart furnishings and colours blend well with amazing period details to create a spacious home that is great for both families and couples.

Should you choose to "stay in" and cook (why would you?!), the kitchen is equipped with everything you need.

A 42-inch wall-mounted TV is in the welcoming living space, which includes seating for four people.

Two spacious bedrooms and a fantastic, contemporary bathroom with a roll-top bathtub and a walk-in shower, all with stylish chrome fixtures, are located up the historic stairs.

This is the best "bolt-hole" we have ever seen.

This luxurious vacation rental in Stratford offers history and entertainment, and we can't imagine ever returning to a hotel!
