“We have had a wonderful holiday at Hook Norton Barn.”

A lovely warm welcome from Sonya as we arrived and a very nice welcome pack. The Barn was immaculate and very well equipped with lots of space, an enormous bedroom with a very comfy bed, huge shower with endless hot water. Everything you could need in the kitchen, beautiful views from the dining room table and comfy sofas to sit on. It was also very peaceful and we saw lots of wildlife, hares, deer and loads of birdlife. We will definately be back.

Hook Norton Barn was towards the top (if not at the top) of the tree. We literally could not fault it in any way. It was private, peaceful, spotlessly clean, comfortable and well supplied. The welcome pack was also one of the best we have experienced. The icing on the cake is that it is ideally located for easy access to all of the Cotswolds. You won't be disappointed.

“Hook Norton Barn is a stylish but comfortable place to stay and Sonya is a lovely host.”

The barn is extremely spacious and of a very high standard; it has everything you need and more for a wonderful holiday. The barn is set back from the road and within a field so lovely and quiet with an abundance of wildlife on your doorstep; we had hares passing by the window most days! The location is good for visiting the many nearby attractions. Can highly recommend this beautiful barn.

“Hook Norton Barn is probably the best appointed holiday accommodation that I have ever rented.”

The location is peaceful, with wildlife (eg hares, buzzards) coming very close to the property (literally to the door so far as the hares were concerned!). There is a good range of pubs close by and the walking is good, particularly from Hook Norton village. The barn has been converted to a very high standard and everything that we could possibly have needed was included.

“We had an amazing stay at Hook Norton Barn.”

The barn is so comfortable and very well equipped. It is in such a quiet, peaceful and beautiful location with exceptional views across the countryside which makes it very easy to while away the hours relaxing and watching the wildlife. We saw rabbits, hares, pheasants, a deer, buzzards, kestrels and lots of smaller birds including yellowhammers all from the comfort of the lovely patio area. Despite it being in such a secluded area, the barn is not far from anywhere which also makes it a convenient place to stay to explore the Cotswolds and surrounding area. Sonya and Dean are great hosts, very welcoming and even left a bottle of prosecco and a card for my birthday which was a lovely thought! Hook Norton is a lovely village with a traditional brewery and visitors centre and a very well stocked village shop. We look forward to returning!

The cottage was superb, the location was wonderful and the property was appointed to a very high standard both inside and with a lovely secluded patio are outside. The fridge was stocked with milk, fruit juice, some spritzer and some (Hook Norton) beer, and a bag with a few other goodies was provided. Sonya came round to check that we were settled in OK soon after we arrived, and gave us a lot of good local info. Will definitely want to stay again.

my partner whom is disabled needs to use a mobility scooter to get about unaided, a suitable electrical outlet and space within a covered area, such as the bicycle shed could be adapted and utilised, this could also serve for guests who bring their electric bicycles too. Our hosts, Sonya and Dean were very helpful and friendly, communication on any queries were answered and dealt with promptly. We had a most enjoyable stay (even though the weather wasn't kind)

A perfect hideaway location perfectly secluded but close enough to commute to services and places of interest. The "Barn" is fully equipped with everything one could possibly need. We were welcomed by Sonya Wood who provided us all the information needed. The Welcome Pack she provided was 5 star. Hook Norton village is close by, there is a petrol station, pubs with food and a village shop. We would not hesitate to recommend Hook Norton Barn to family or friends.

“Situated in a beautiful part of England is a truly stunning property.”

The owners have worked very hard in providing a real 'get away from it all' property, If you are looking to be out of the way from the hustle and bustle then look no further in staying here. Very comfortable bed, plenty of storage space, kitchen (fully equipped with everything you could possibly need) , dining and living area which has double glazed windows and doors that give amazing views to the local wildlife, we spotted rabbits, hares playing in the evening sunshine, 3 green woodpeckers to name just a few. The bathroom has a large shower wet room with plenty of hot water on demand and touches like the heated towel rail was a lovely touch. The large welcome pack was much appreciated showcasing the delicious local treats. good strong Wi-Fi if you are looking for this along with large smart TV in the living area and lovely smaller tv in the bedroom. Neat, tidy, uncluttered and perfect, finally, the well is one of the most unique things we have ever seen, thank you so much Sonya & Dean - Andrew & Mikayla

Being met at the barn and given the keys was a lovely personal touch, rather than just collecting keys from a key safe etc. The welcome pack was another lovely personal touch and contained much more than welcome packs I’ve received from previous places. The barn was in an ideal location for where we wanted to visit, Bletchley Park, Blenheim palace and biscester shopping outlet. There are so many lovely local pubs close by, all serving very good food and the local brewery with its museum and visitor centre are also worth a visit.

We were welcomed by our host Sonya on arrival with a lovely goodie bag. Everything we needed was provided including games and dvds for a rainy day. Property was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and we soon felt at home. View was great and we were visited by a deer and her fawn. We had great meals at The Fox,The Norman Knight, Hook Norton Brewery and The Gate Hangs High which is a 5 minute walk away. Blenheim Palace was amazing especially the gardens but be prepared to walk for miles if you want to see all the grounds. Also worth a visit is Batsford Arboretum and Falconry where you can get to hold an owl. All told a great holiday with exceptional accommodation. Carl & Linda

The property is very well equipped with a superb wet room/bathroom, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and a great space to relax and enjoy a holiday including an outside patio. The owners have clearly spent a great deal of time in planning and providing excellent facilities to a very high standard. We were blessed with fantastic warm weather however this properties specification is ideal for any time of the year and its location near to so many attractions and activities provides a great base for days out in the Cotswolds and the Oxfordshire countryside. This was without doubt the best cottage that we have ever stayed in and is highly recommended.

The view is spectacular and it is so easy to just sit in the garden where you see a scenic view that stretches out to the horizon. “An excellent cottage in a totally private rural location.”

The owners have spared no expense in furnishing to a very high standard (most items bought new). The welcome pack was useful and started the holiday for us from the word go. Nearest pub/ restaurant is a couple of hundred yards away. Hook Norton village one mile with handy village shop and excellent and famous Victorian brewery. The cottage made an excellent base to explore the Cotswolds. Thank you to our hosts Dean and Sonya who seem to have thought of everything, highly recommended.

Furnishings and equipment are top quality, spotlessly clean and warm. Who would ever choose to stay in an hotel?! We were met by the lovely owner and presented with wine and food to get us started. Everything available in the nearby village of Hook Norton, including the amazing brewery.

The barn has been renovated to a very high standard and the owners have obviously put a great deal of thought into providing everything that's needed for a great holiday - The welcome bag was especially appreciated! The barn is in an ideal location for exploring some great places and was very warm and comfortable to return to in the evenings. We enjoyed the quiet location and loved watching the local wildlife which included Roe deer, rabbits and a variety of birds. The firework display in Hook Norton was an added bonus.

“We have just spent a week at Hook Norton Barn, which is situated in a very quiet rural location, just a mile outside the village of Hook Norton.”

We arrived to be greeted by Sonya, the owner, who showed us around and left us with a rather nice ‘welcome pack’ of goodies, some of which were cooling in the fridge! The barn conversion, which was only completed a few months ago, is superbly done, a lot of thought has gone into the conversion and furnishing. It really is a quality property and had everything we needed, in a really nice rural location, ideally situated for exploring the area. Hooks Barn was perfect for the two of us to visit numerous places within easy reach, then return and just chill out and sit on the patio with the birds singing away. The property is so comfortable we immediately felt ‘at home’ so we tended to eat out during the day and just relax in the evening and enjoy the peace and quiet, simply brilliant!

Chipping Norton 5 miles; Stratford-upon-Avon 22 miles; Oxford 25 miles.

A picturesque village with many honey-coloured historic buildings, thatched cottages, a thriving community and its very own steam driven brewery, the last of its kind in the country. The village boasts a well-stocked shop, Post Office, several pubs and restaurants and many lovely walks can be enjoyed from the village with the D'Arcy Dalton Way passing through the village. The market town of Chipping Norton lies south of the village in the Cotswold Hills, plays host to many festivals throughout the year, has an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a theatre and the oldest golf course in Oxfordshire.
