“We had a wonderful stay (7adults)at Mount View.”

Everything was spotlessly clean with a very well equipped kitchen. Comfortable seating areas and bedrooms. Nice bedding and towels provided. It was lovely and warm, a little too much at times, but saying that it was very mild out. We may have welcomed the warmth in more typical November weather. Only small thing I would recommend is maybe putting a mirror in the 2 smaller bedrooms upstairs. Overall a really good property for a family get together or for exploring the beautiful local area, will ...

The property

Mount View is a beautifully presented property which sleeps seven guests, in four stylish bedrooms, with three bathrooms.

This striking semi-detached home away from home has been renovated to a high standard with an abundance of modern features and facilities including a glass roof lantern, a gas flame effect stove, wireless internet access, two Smart TVs and a well-equipped kitchen.

Every room has been finished in a contemporary style and the bespoke open plan kitchen area boasts bi-fold doors which connect the house and garden.

This tranquil garden offers uninterrupted rural views, and there is off-street parking for up to four cars on the driveway. Mount View is situated on the outskirts of the peaceful hamlet of Childswickham, an unspoilt village in the Vale of Evesham whose church spire can be seen for several miles.

Displaying various architectural styles, the hamlet comprises thatched cottages, those with red brick facades and even some black and white half-timbered homes.

In addition to attractive dwellings, the village benefits from a popular country pub, the Childswickham Inn, which prides itself on its seasonal, locally sourced menu and range of ales.

Just two miles away is the much loved village of Broadway, home to a number of pubs, restaurants, galleries, tempting tearooms and independent shops. Childswickham is surrounded by glorious countryside, with many superb walks and cycle routes on its doorstep to discover.

The Cotswold Way long distance walking trail passes through Broadway and ascends to Broadway Tower, rewarding walkers with breathtaking views from the top, and a 9km circular route nearby takes in the chocolate box villages of Stanton, Snowshill and Laverton.

Childswickham is well-placed for exploring the lovely towns and villages of the North Cotswolds including Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh, Winchcombe and Blockley, as well as further afield destinations such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle and the dreaming spires of Oxford.

Mount View is the perfect base for a gathering of friends or family who are seeking a relaxing break surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Vale of Evesham.

The front door opens into a smart entrance hall, off which are the following rooms: Living room: Overlooking the front garden and rolling Cotswold hills beyond, this tastefully decorated living room contains a fireplace with cosy gas flame effect stove with temperature control, two three-seater sofas, an armchair, wooden chair and Smart TV; Kitchen/dining room/snug: Flooded with natural light from the two bi-fold doors and glass roof lantern, this stylish open plan area has been designed with socialising in mind.

Providing access to the garden, this impressive room contains a double electric range oven with five-ring gas hob, American-style fridge/freezer with water dispenser, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetière, Nespresso Pixie coffee machine, wooden dining table with seating for seven, a large corner sofa and a wall-mounted Smart TV; Utility room with cloakroom: A useful space which contains a washing machine, tumble dryer and sink.

Accessed via the utility room is a cloakroom which contains a toilet and wash basin; Bedroom 4 with ensuite bathroom: Located off the entrance hall, this elegant dual aspect bedroom offers stunning rural views and contains a king size bed, chaise longue, wall mirror and built-in cupboard with clothes rail and box storage unit.

The well presented ensuite contains a walk-in rain shower with separate handheld shower attachment, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail. Stairs lead up from the kitchen to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Master bedroom with ensuite bathroom: With uninterrupted views, this spacious dual aspect bedroom contains a king size bed, chest of drawers, built-in cupboard with clothes rail and box storage unit, a wall mirror and bedroom chair.

The stylish ensuite contains a walk-in rain shower with separate handheld shower attachment, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail; Bedroom 2: This delightful bedroom contains a double bed, ornamental fireplace, wall hooks, bedside table with three drawers, and a chair; Bedroom 3: Overlooking the back garden and fields beyond, this bright and cosy room contains a single bed, chest of drawers, wall hooks and chair; Family bathroom: This smart bathroom contains a bath with overhead shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail. Bi-fold doors lead out into the beautifully maintained garden, a wonderful area in which to relax with family and friends in the warmer months.

There is a patio area with an outdoor table with seating for seven, along with a garden bench, and a generous lawn runs the length of the property and joins with the attractive front garden.

Potted flowers, leafy shrubs and mature trees bring colour and shade, and there are fabulous uninterrupted views towards the Cotswold Hills. Off-street parking is available for up to four cars on the driveway.
