“We were 3 elderly couples and found the house very comfortable and warm, despite the the very cold weather.”
Three super easy access bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable, although the sheet and mattress cover on the king size bed wouldn’t stay on - I think they were not deep enough for the very deep mattress. Also, the small bedroom provided quite a challenge for an elderly person, getting in and out of bed with the sloping ceiling coming right down over the far side of the bed. Downstairs worked very well for us. We all ate in the kitchen fitting quite snugly round the table, which meant, on an evening we could use the table in the lounge for things like a jigsaw puzzle and still all be together in one room, while others were watching tv etc. - nice and sociable. We did have a bit of a problem with parking on 2 occasions, as when we returned from a trip out with our 2 cars, we found there was another car parked right in the middle of the parking space, which meant we couldn’t even fit 1 car in the space. Whoever it was, didn’t stay too long , then we had to move our cars back into our space. Talking to the lovely Irish lady next door, we understood that the parking arrangements in Bridge End are just on a gentleman’s agreement basis, but luckily, we weren’t too inconvenienced. The garden is lovely and in warmer weather we would have spent some time out there in the sunshine. The location of the property is lovely, so peaceful and friendly and the walk into town was easy, if a bit noisy with traffic! The town itself was very interesting with lots of interesting history. The restaurants were plentiful and there were some interesting shops. The local area had lots of places to visit for all tastes. I would certainly recommend number 67 to my friends and family.
