“Absolutely delightful!”

We’ve just had the most wonderful week staying at this gorgeous, peaceful and charming cottage. This lovely property is situated within a beautiful village and countryside, and in an excellent location for exploring the Cotswolds. It is very well equipped, dog friendly and is extremely comfortable. The owners Suzie and James are absolutely delightful and welcoming. We would highly recommend it! Huge thanks again Suzie and James for the most wonderful stay, we look forward to coming back.

“The four of us humans and three dogs had a wonderful week in this peaceful, comfortable cottage with every facility.”

Set in the countryside with only the sounds of the swallows in the barn and buzzing bees it was so relaxing. It's an ideal centre too for exploring the area . Suzie and James the owners couldn't have been more kind, helpful and accommodating..We really hope to return in the not to distant future.

“Gorgeous cottage but a few cobwebs, only to be expected due to location, but I hate spiders so not a criticism, just my personal opinion.”

Wouldn’t stop me returning and this was our second visit anyway The cottage owners are so lovely and friendly and our dog is made very welcome too. Fantastic walks and so peaceful, just what you need after being in a hectic job at home. Highly recommend

“For us it was a super cottage in a beautiful 'corner' of England.”

The cottage itself had everything we needed and proved to be a cosy and comfortable base. The enclosed garden was great for our dogs and there were walks literally from the door. The owners, whilst not being intrusive, made us feel MOST welcome and provided some good insights into attractions/places of interest and dog-friendly pubs in the local area - helping us greatly as 'first-timers' to the Cotswolds. All in all a week to remember for so many happy reasons!

It is in a pretty and quiet village and a perfect location to explore the Cotswolds. The cottage was well appointed, clean and comfortable and perfect for anyone staying with their dogs as it has a private and enclosed garden. It also has good WiFi too. “Henmarsh Cottage is beautiful.”

Everything you need is there and the owner is next door should you need anything else. It was particularly hot on our visit, we were offered an extra fan without having to ask. The enclosed garden and patio area is perfect for dogs. The beds, sofas and kitchen dining area are all comfortable and we all slept really well. Having a downstairs bedroom/en suite was perfect for my elderly Father. We enjoyed a peaceful, restful and relaxing holiday. Thank you.

“We had a wonderful stay in Henmarsh Cottage.”

Beautiful area with lots of great dog walks on the doorstep and a great pub that welcomed our 3 dogs,within walking distance. (2.5miles) Moreton in Marsh was a short drive away with all the facilities you need. It's location means that all the places we wanted to visit were all a short drive away. Our hosts were great, friendly and welcoming with great local knowledge. We would highly recommend and hope to visit again.

“The property was perfect!”

! 2 double bedrooms and lovely communal space. It was perfect for our dogs too. Close by to a little village and just a short drive to a lovely pub - the red lion. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful! Suggesting walking routes, bringing extra fire wood in the evening, leaving us some Prosecco for the NYE celebrations and always super friendly. Thank you, we loved it !

it is quiet, comfortable, warm, with all the necessary facilities. and well maintained The Owner Suzie (although away during our stay) was very helpful and very pleasant , contacting us via Text or Telephone. The local population were all very friendly and helpful some suggesting walks for Bailey our beagle. A really lovely cottage.

“Located in a quiet hamlet with no shops it was lovely and quiet.”

Accommodation was clean and simple but comfortable. Owners were lovely. Bath and fireplace /heating was terrific. Great spot for travelling across the Cotswolds. Stayed a few night but wished we stayed the week. A great get away. Pet friendly with fenced front yard. Thumbs up. Remember to read the directions provided by email.

We had an enjoyable week the dogs loved the garden but there was not a lot to do if you are not into Tea rooms, national Trust houses & Chocolate box villages that were over crowded with no where to park .

Henmarsh Cottage is wonderful, cosy, pet friendly cottage set in glorious Cotswold countryside.

Located on the edge of a beautiful village and just 7 mins from Moreton in Marsh and 10 mins from Stow on the Wold.

There are stunning views creating a fabulous 'away from it all' spot that always has customers returning for more!

The cottage is has many character features incl exposed beams, wooden floors and woodburning stove mixed with attractive contemporary touches - all adding to its charm.

In our opinion this cottage offers superb value in a cracking location with great walks from your doorstep! Please note, Henmarsh Cottage only accepts short breaks Nov - end Feb Please call for last minute bookings.

About the location

MORETON-IN-MARSH

Stow-on-the-Wold 4.5 miles; Bourton-on-the-Water 8 miles; Stratford-upon-Avon 16 miles; Cheltenham 23 miles; Oxford 31 miles.

The Saxon market town of Moreton-in-Marsh lies on the Fosse Way Roman Road in the northern Cotswolds and boasts many elegant 18th century buildings, which are home to traditional inns, serving real ales and home-cooked food, tea rooms, restaurants and individual shops to suit all tastes. It also boasts it's own train station and lies on the intersection of the Paddington rail line from London. The town hosts the Moreton-In-Marsh Show, one of the UK's largest one-day agricultural shows, as well as the Moreton Beer Festival, an annual French Market, and a large outdoor market every Tuesday. Many walks and cycle rides through the beautiful rolling countryside of the Cotswolds can be enjoyed from the centre of the town, with the Macmillan Way, Heart of England Way, Gloucestershire and Monarch's Way all running close by. Less than five miles away is Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds. This ancient market town has played host to many fairs since the 12th century and today holds a biannual Gypsy Horse Fair, craft fairs and monthly farmers' market. Close by is Bourton-on-the-Water, which is known as the Venice of the Cotswolds as the River Windrush runs through the centre. It lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is one of the most popular Cotswold villages. Also within reach is the spa town of Cheltenham. This town boasts an incredible range of shops, cinemas, theatres, restaurants and pubs, and is famous for its horseracing festival in March, culminating in the Gold Cup steeplechase. Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath, Worcester and the waterfront city of Gloucester are also within driving distance. A convenient base for exploring the Cotswolds and the wider area.
