“Beautiful medieval cottage, sensitively restored, perfectly chosen furnishings to maintain feel of the place and wonderfully well equipped.”
Everything of good quality, cutlery, saucepans glasses etc
Comfy bed and cosy woodburner - with logs! Warm welcome from Father Philip and lovely cake to welcome us with milk, tea bags etc. Dog friendly with blanket and bowls.
Polesworth itself is not particularly attractive, but the two cottages that form part of the old abbey gatehouse are utterly delightful. There are lots of stairs if you are using the second floor bedroom, so suggest mobile adults and no tiny children. There is social club and a pub immediately opposite, which may have been a noise issue if we were using the second floor bedroom, but the main bedroom, on the first floor, is at the back of the cottage, so no problem on our stay.
Sykes, as an agency are really helpful and friendly and this, too, makes for a lovely holiday!
