    “We loved our time at the cottage.”

    This is our second visit and it was just as we remembered. There were amazing gifts for us and our dogs. The cottage is situated close to fantastic walks and places to eat. Traffic has increased on the small lane, but they will use the passing places

A lovely, detached cottage, brimming with character, located close to the Symond Yat Rock and the River Wye.

Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this cottage offers many lovely walks and cycle rides from the doorstep across beautiful Herefordshire countryside.

With off-road parking.

The Cottage is located on a narrow country road and, while not a main road, it is well used therefore there will be some traffic noise heard, this is the ideal base for a family or group of friends looking to explore a beautiful part of England.

The cottage boasts many original features, with wall and ceiling beams and exposed stone walls.

The ground floor boasts a sitting room with a woodburning stove, taking the chill off those cold wintry evenings.

The dining area is within the lounge, so ideal for catching up with friends over dinner.

The well-equipped kitchen is just next door.

There is a ground floor bedroom is a a set of twin single beds.

The shower room offers a mobility seat if needed, aiding those who find it hard on their feet.

Make your way upstairs to a lovely double bedroom with a separate WC.

Outside, you can relax in the front courtyard area, enjoy alfresco dining on a summer's evening or take a walk into Symonds Yat and explore Yat Rock.

Why not take a short drive to Ross-on-Wye and try out one of the many lovely pubs and restaurants in the town.

Monmouth 5 miles; Ross-on-Wye 7 miles; Gloucester 23 miles.

The pretty village of Symonds Yat straddles the beautiful River Wye with its natural scenery and magnificent limestone 'rock', popular with climbers and is internationally renowned for its viewpoint. Symonds Yat West is situated overlooking the beautiful Wye Valley, and is close to the magnificent Royal Forest of Dean, England's largest oak forest. This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering numerous trails that can be explored on foot, bicycle or horseback. Caving, abseiling and a high wire rope course are on offer for the more adventurous, whilst fishing, golf, kayaking and canoeing are other popular activities in this unspoilt area. Visit the historic town of Monmouth with its mixture of elegant Georgian mansions and Victorian courtyards, or the lovely town of Ross-on-Wye with its timbered Tudor houses and delightful riverside walks, both offering excellent shops, pubs and restaurants. Just a little further afield discover the unspoilt Malvern Hills, Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons National Park. A great area to unwind with family and friends.
