“Mill Cottage is the nicest holiday rental we have stayed at.”

It is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location, perfect for walking and relaxing and just enjoying the scenery and peace and quiet. We also enjoyed exploring the local area especially Ludlow. We are already planning to return to Mill Cottage.

About the location

HANLEY WILLIAM

Tenbury Wells 5 miles; Leominster 16 miles; Worcester 19 miles.

The scattered village of Hanley William is surrounded by beautiful Worcestershire countryside, criss-crossed with an abundance of walks and bridleways with the Worcestershire Way and Three Rivers Ride close by. The Fox, a Black and White village pub, serves great food while many other traditional pubs and restaurants can be found nearby. The village of Eastham is just a mile away and is home to Grabbed by the Alpacas, where you can enjoy an alpaca trekking experience that you will never forget. Just five miles away, Tenbury Wells is an ancient market town situated on the banks of the River Teme. Dating back to the Iron Age and said to have been called 'my little town in the orchard' by Queen Victoria, it boasts a unique 18th century bridge built by Thomas Telford, the magnificent Pump Rooms, which housed baths where local mineral water was available, and many other listed buildings dating back to the 17th century. This bustling town has many individual shops, cafés and tea rooms and plays host to numerous festivals throughout the year, notably the Applefest in October and Holly and Mistletoe around Christmas. Ludlow, one of the most beautiful towns in Britain offers a medieval street pattern, which remains almost intact and provides an amazing backdrop for the town's regular markets. Renowned for its shopping, Ludlow also has high quality restaurants, excellent tea shops and pubs. The Wyre Forest is home to a vast array of wildlife, including woodland birds, flora, fauna, moths and adders, as well as many lovely walks, cycle routes, horse riding and a discovery centre. Also within easy reach is Church Stretton, known as Little Switzerland, the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge, Leominster, Hereford, the beautiful Malvern Hills, as well as the Severn Valley Railway, Berrington Hall and Hay-on-Wye, famous for its annual Literary Festival in May/June.
