  • Alison

“This was a superb property for us in every way.”

We love the sympathetic renovations particularly lower kitchen area. A must for us at this time of year is an open fire. Parking is good and we enjoyed walking directly from the front door. Local amenities were impressive including a selection of pubs with good food, beer and open fires.

The property

A beautifully presented 19th century former Coachman's Lodge attached to the owner's home and award-winning bed and breakfast, ideally located on the slopes of the Malvern Hills, just a short distance from the town.

The cottage oozes character and charm and has been lovingly furnished throughout to provide warm and welcoming accommodation, ideal for a romantic break in a stunning part of the country.

The quality and owner's personal touches are evident as you enter this charming cottage, with a delightful sitting room complete with wall beams, exposed brick fireplace housing the open fire and sumptuous seating.

Through the sitting room is the luxurious king-size bedroom boasting long distant views.

Descend the stairs from the hallway, ducking to avoid the low ceiling, to the lovely kitchen with dining area.

This cosy area with its terracotta tiled floor, charming inglenook fireplace housing the range cooker, quirky pantry and rustic dining table, is perfect for enjoying a romantic dinner or spending time chatting over a morning coffee.

From the kitchen is a useful utility room, with vaulted ceiling, which can be accessed from the side of the cottage making it ideal for walking gear and bike storage.

Many lovely walks and cycle rides on the Malvern Hills are available from the doorstep of the cottage, which is also situated on the local bus route.

The town centre of Great Malvern is only a short drive away and the Three Counties Showground a short drive or walk.

A charming cottage for a memorable holiday at any time of year.

Ledbury 7 miles; Worcester 10 miles; Hereford 23 miles.

The beautiful Worcestershire town of Malvern dates back to the Bronze Age and is situated on the eastern side of the dramatic Malvern Hills. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Malvern Hills form a 9-mile range of ancient rock, which offers 100 miles of footpaths and bridleways with natural springs and long distance views in all directions. Malvern has individual shops, cafes, galleries, restaurants, a luxurious spa and it’s own micro brewery. It is also just a short drive from the Three Counties Showground which hosts regular events most notably RHS Malvern (May), The Royal Three Counties Show (June) and the Malvern Autumn Show (September).
