Martin “We enjoyed a lovely week.”
Quaint, cosy cottage - perfect for a few days exploring the area. Warm, comfortable & clean. The stairs take a bit of getting used to and their steepness wouldn’t be for everyone. We also wondered, as the small box room upstairs can be used as a dressing room, whether a larger double bed could be accommodated. Royal Oak ( good food ) & Plough pubs within easy walking distance. Some great walks from the front door up into Southam and onto Cleeve Hill. Also ideal for heading into the Cotswolds ...

A mile walk to the racecourse which for us was the main reason for staying.

Robin “We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely, comfy cottage.”
Everything we needed and so nice to have the garden to sit out. The stairs are steep so you just need to be careful. Great location in a lovely village. We will definitely be going back for a longer stay.
- Robin, July 2023Thank you Robin for your lovely feedback. We are glad to hear you will be returning for a longer stay and it was great that you made use of the garden and summerhouse. Property Owner

Barry “Had a very pleasant stay at Lake Cottages.”
The cottage is in a very convenient position for walking the northern section of the Wolds Way.
- Barry, May 2022Thank you Barry. We are very pleased you both managed to walk so much of The Cotswold Way without the use of your own transport! Hope to welcome you back soon. Property Owner
Sara “Fantastic little cottage, perfect for 2.”
Having the bathroom downstairs was no bother, just your head if tall. There is a little study upstairs, which gives an extra room if you need it to chill out. Bed was really comfortable and plenty of cupboard space for clothes. Kitchen has everything you need and the garden was a lovely suntrap. I went for a break from busy family life and I will definitely be going back.
- Sara, April 2022Thanks Sara for your feedback. We are really pleased you had a great break and we provided everything you needed in the cottage. The garden is certainly a suntrap and the summerhouse gives a warm outside space even on a cooler day. We're looking forward to having you back again. Property Owner
Jill “This cottage is in an ideal location for the Racecourse and for visiting Cheltenham.”
Three lovely pubs within walking distance all serving food. The property is immaculate, with sufficient equipment to be able to cook for 2 people, with full oven, hob, dishwasher and small fridge, with a small frozen food compartment. The bed was very comfortable, however it should be noted that the bathroom is downstairs and the staircase is fairly steep. So visits to the bathroom during the night need to be taken with care. Parking outside was no problem.
- Jill, December 2021Thank you Jill for your feedback. It's great that you were very pleased with your long stay at 3 Lake Cottages. We appreciate your comments as we have aimed to make the property as immaculate as possible. Locals are definitely blessed with having three historic pubs within easy walking distance and the historic five star Ellenborough House Hotel with a longer walk across the fields. For a treat it's a great place to dine, have afternoon tea or book a spa treatment. Property Owner
