    “The cottage was always lovely and warm and cosy when we got back to it, the bed was supremely comfortable, it was very clean, the Xmas tree was a nice touch.”

    It was superbly located in a lovely quiet village central to everywhere we wanted to go. It was well stocked with everything we needed. The only downside was, as others have said the parking, the space is very small and as we have an SUV we parked at the village hall, as other users of the parking spaces were not considerate at all, and parked over the lines. I didn't get on with the shower, it was either freezing cold or boiling hot, but apart from that , overall we were very happy with our ...

The property

Bobble Cottage is a charming Cotswold cottage that is gorgeous and contemporary, and in our opinion is perfect for couples seeking for a weekend getaway.

The house offers off-road parking for one car and is situated in a tranquil area of the lovely Cotswold village of Little Rissington.

A good-sized bedroom with an en-suite bathroom is located upstairs in the open-plan, ground-floor of the house.

Bobble Cottage is extremely well-presented, with comfort playing a key role in its allure.

As you might expect, there are wonderful walks just outside your front door.

You can choose to stroll up the hill for some breath-taking views, or you can choose to walk down the hill to Bourton on the Water, which will take you approximately 30 minutes on foot or less than 5 minutes by car.

Its prime position makes it the perfect launching point for exploring the many National Trust gardens and sites.

About the location

LITTLE RISSINGTON

Bourton-on-the-Water 2 miles; Stow-on-the-Wold 5 miles.

Little Rissington is a quiet village outside the popular destination of Bourton-on-the-Water, Little Rissington is worth visiting for its 12th century church with its moving memorial to RAF servicemen. The village styling is typical for the Cotswolds; small cottages fronted by flower-boxes.

Associations are always made between the village and RAF Little Rissington, the air base which was located relatively close. The base is gone now, though buildings still remain and have now become the new village of Upper Rissington, and the aerodrome is now used for hang-gliding.

The main attraction is the 12th century church, which lies apart from the village up a short path to the west of the road. On Pound Lane is a row of Cotswold stone cottages described as perhaps the best example in Gloucestershire of 17th century vernacular building.
