Had everything you would need. Nice sitting out on decking of an evening too. We were lucky with the weather but unlucky with the nearby pub as was closed due to changing hands. Short Drive to other pubs / restaurants ten mins max. The silence of an evening was just perfect.

The cottage is in a lovely location with off road parking which we liked. As soon as we walked up the steps and looked inside we were impressed with the size of the rooms, the cleanliness and quality of the fittings. The cottage is in a good position to visit many places with Bristol being just an hour away, that said it is set in some lovely woods and would be ideal for anyone who enjoys walking.

Situated in the heart of the charming village of Cranham, just 5 minutes’ walk from a traditional village pub serving real ale and excellent local food, these two Cranham holiday cottages are set in the grounds of the owners’ home, in tranquil surroundings from where many lovely walks and cycle rides can be enjoyed. Each of these Cranham cottages is uniquely decorated and furnished, making them ideal for a romantic break or a holiday with friends. Both of these Cranham cottages have their own outdoor seating areas, perfect for relaxing in after a day walking in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside. Explore the local ancient beech woodlands and Cranham Common, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest located just behind the cottages. Or, visit the waterfront city of Gloucester, Cheltenham with its historic Georgian architecture and Gold Cup Horse racing, the many unspoilt Cotswolds towns and villages, the magnificent Royal Forest of Dean or Stratford-upon-Avon. CRANHAM

Gloucester 5 miles; Cheltenham 8.8 miles; Stroud 6 miles; Cirencester 10 miles.

The pretty village of Cranham lies in the westerly fold of the beautiful Cotswolds hills, adjoining ancient beech woodlands and Cranham Common, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest with evidence of the largest Iron Age Fort in Europe. The whole area is surrounded by stunning countryside and offers excellent walks and bridleways, with the Cotswold Way very close by. Nearby, the historic waterfront city of Gloucester offers Roman foundations, Victorian Docklands and a magnificent Norman cathedral (whose cloisters were used as a location in the Harry Potter films) rubbing shoulders with a bustling city centre.
