“We enjoyed our stay but would have appreciated it if the heated towel rail in the bathroom had worked as there was no ventilation in the bathroom and the towels did not easily dry.”
None of the electric wall heaters worked either and it was quite cold at times as the weather was unusually cold, wet and windy for July.
The overall cleanliness of the property was okay but some of the crockery and cutlery needed washing before use and clean towels halfway through the week would be good. The bed in the second bedroom was not very comfortable and it would be better if there were proper twin beds which could suit the needs of couples, friends or children more specifically.
However, the property was well designed and spacious, it was in a good location for trips to Slimbridge wetlands centre, Gloucester, Cirencester, and Berkeley Castle, we also visited the Cotswold wildlife park in Burford which is well worth a visit and has beautiful gardens and lots of animals and birds to see. There are large supermarkets like Lidl, Sainsburys and Tesco in Dursley a 15 minute drive away.
