    “The cottage is fantastic.”

    It is extrememly well-appointed - one of the best we have ever stayed in. From the fresh flowers, welcome food and drink and Jo Malone toiletries to the tasteful furnishings with high quality bed linen, fluffy towels and comfy beds, there is nothing we would change. It smelt lovely as we walked in, and was spotlessly clean. There was snow outside but it was very cosy and welcoming. Sky TV was included which was a treat for us! It smelt lovely as we walked in, and was spotlessly clean. There was snow outside but it was very cosy and welcoming. Sky TV was included which was a treat for us! The cottage was great for our dog, with a safe enclosed garden and a practical utility room. The rolling Cotswolds countryside is beautiful with plenty of walks and pubs on the doorstep. We had our toddler grandson with us - there was a good quality highchair, travel cot and stairgate, with a small selection of thoughtfully chosen children's books and soft toys which he loved. In fact, he wanted to take one of them home....! The dining kitchen is on the ground floor whilst the main living space is upstairs, so the stairgate was essential. This layout may not suit everyone, but it worked well for us. Claire the housekeeper was very responsive and helpful, but unintrusive which is just the way we like it. We had to shorten our stay at short notice and the owners were very understanding, which we appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay - I'm sure we will return.

This lovely, charming jewel is tucked away on the banks of the River Coln in the heart of the Cotswold hills, surrounded by farms and close-by woodlands.

You'll discover a truly remarkable home once you're inside, a thoughtfully renovated and contemporary stable building that is decorated with high-end furnishings and textiles.

The thoughtful details all through are friendly to a couple as well as for a family.

You can still see the original beams and details, which serve as a reminder of the majestic old manor's past.

The very high-end shaker-style kitchen and dining area downstairs is the ideal space for entertaining and relaxing.

The living area, two luxurious bedrooms, and bathroom are located upstairs.

all with unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside.

You couldn't be more perfectly situated for a weekend or holiday getaway to the Cotswolds.

With endless walking opportunities right outside your door, your dog is also welcome.

As far as Cotswold cottages go, this is outstanding!

About the location

NORTHLEACH

Bourton on the water 5.5 miles; Stow-on-the-wold 9.1 miles;

Northleach is just off the Roman road, the Fosse Way (A429) 8 miles north-east of Cirencester and 10 miles south-west of Stow-on-the-Wold, and about 7 miles from Burford - making it an excellent place to travel from if you're looking to visit these popular and attractive places. Northleach was at one time an important market town, celebrated throughout Europe as a major centre for the Cotswold wool trade! The fifteenth-century church of St Peter and St Paul, paid for by the wealthy wool merchants, was built with stone dug from the quarry in the town itself and what is now the Market Square. More recently the village has been used in a number of recent films, including the Casual Vacancy of 2015.
