A wonderful place to stay.

Really liked the big enclosed lawn at the back - perfect for kicking a ball around. Everywhere was spotless and hosts were very helpful and friendly.

It is a very lovely cottage to stay in.

We had a very pleasant time staying there.

Everything about this cottage was wonderful.

I would recommend it to all who require their own room and bathroom facilities. My only small issue is that it wasn't possible to open a window a small amount which suits me for sleeping.

Beautiful peaceful location but also not too far from shops and EV chargers, we really enjoyed our holiday here.

An attractive cottage, and comfortable.

Good bedrooms and bathroom facilities. The kitchen equipment was rather sparse considering the other facilities. For those who look forward to relaxing at the cottage and the opportunity to prepare our on meals an extra saucepan and frying pan as well as things such as kitchen tongs and a milk jug would be helpful.. This did not spoil our holiday but bringing the kitchen facilities up to the standard of the rest of the cottage would be helpful.

First impression of Swallow Barn was good however certain things were disappointing.

It needs a general spring clean and certain things were dirty. Netflix was supposed to be available but this was not the case. There were no welcome items left. The washing machine is broken and had to be switched off manually in the middle of a programme. The shrubs and trees outside need to be cut back. When it is windy they activate the security light which lights up the bedroom for entire night making it hard to sleep.

We had a wonderful mini break at swallow barns ,beautifully clean, added touches now with cushions and throws on sofa, power shower can’t fault anything , gorgeous farm views quiet with birds singing The owner very kind & friendly Highly recommend we hope to return at some point ‘book up it’s fab’

Swallow Barns a haven for peace. I would like to apologise to the owners that we forgot to write in the Guest Book but I can promise them all you could write is nice things. Surprisingly peaceful as it is walking distance from Chipping Sodbury which was a bonus for us with all you could need.

Lovely property in great location.

Disappointed by the smell of drains on arrival but once we'd ran water through showers, taps etc. it went. We did report this to the owner so he is aware and will speak to the cleaner. We think it was the fact that the cottage may not have been used for a while. All very clean and instructions helpful for use of equipment. Would defintely recommend it.

This was a great base for a varied visit - grandchild care, visiting Bath and the Somerset coast and some lovely towns locally.

The cottage is warm, comfortable and well equiped. The only fault is that the whole place could do with a deep clean.

Fabulous property for extended family get together over Christmas especially with adjoining Daisy Cottage.

Owner knows outside light needs repairing. Minor issue: lots of cobwebs on rafters. Fridge was clean enough but not 100%. Would not stop us coming back - lovely, well equipped property

We really enjoyed our trip to Swallow Barn, really handy for Bath, Bristol and makes a lot of the Cotswolds accessible.

My elderly parents and stayed at Swallow Barns to break the journey between Ireland and Kent (it's only a short distance off the M4), and we all loved it.

It was peaceful, cosy and extremely well-equiped - everything seemed to have been thought of! All on one level, and very easy for my parents. I didn't have much chance to look around too far, but there seemed to be lots of footpaths and walking that you could do from the front door, and it wasn't very far to walk into Chipping Sodbury too. Looking forward to going back at some point!

A lovely barn conversion in a lovely setting with all the facilities you need.

The property was spacious, clean and very comfortable.

We had brought bikes with us and Rob kindly provided a secure lockup for them. We could not have asked for more from a holiday let. The location was quiet and the town of Chipping Sodbury was a ten minute walk away. Plenty of pubs nearby as well. We had a great week. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

What a find!

Lovely layout with everything you need. The bathrooms were spotless with very good showers. Parking was brilliant. I wanted to stay in this area to visit slimbridge, Bath & Westonbirt all of which were only a short drive away.

Swallow Barns is spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet in its rural location but also close to the lovely shops and eating places in Chipping Sodbury High Street.

Our only minor niggle was the lack of hooks in the two bathrooms. An extra pan or vegetable steamer would be a useful addition to the kitchen.

We loved Swallow Barns, the cottage is beautiful, the location is brilliant and is so peaceful, but it is walking distance to the village of Chipping Sodbury and easy driving distance to Bath, Bristol and loads of lovely other villages.

We will definitely book again and would happily recommend.

The weather turned chilly while we were there but the heating was adequate so we were toasty warm

Swallow Barns is a fantastic property and we really enjoyed our stay.

Everything is finished to a high standard and was clean throughout. We liked the sense of isolation even though we were just five minutes from all the facilities in Yate. One minor comment would be about the towels. Why present everything else to such a high standard and then present guests with a scraggy set of towels when they first arrive? Also, the outdoor light by the bedroom doesn't work properly and we tripped over the step a couple of times. These are quite picky things but worth sharing given that everything else was so good.

Excellent property in a brilliant location with easy access to supermarkets and transport links to Bristol and Bath.

The property owners were very helpful and the property was warm and comfortable.

Swallows Barn was a lovely property, the garden and space around it very well looked after.

The barn is comfortable and clean, we had all that was needed for the four of us . Perhaps a 4 slice toaster needed instead of a 2.. Mr Watson was very helpful and welcomed us. In all a super stay. On the slight down side, dust under the beds, Grubby slip mat needs attention in main bathroom.

The barn was clean and cosy, secluded and quiet.

The beds were very comfortable, with ample storage space in the bedrooms. The showers worked very well too. We were a little concerned when we received the details of the location that it was on a farm: this wasn't mentioned in the description but no noisy machinery or bad smells! The kitchen equipment was basic, a larger frying pan would be useful. I did have to buy a hairdryer as I didn't find one. A pleasant stay with lots to do.

We have stayed at Kingrove before in other properties but Swallow Barns is by far the best with excellent comfort and facilities.

Stayed at Swallow Barns for 3 weeks during house renovations and it was fabulous!

Spotlessly clean with all the necessary home comforts- one of the best holiday cottages we have had. Ideal location for the Cotswolds, Bath, Bristol, South Wales etc. Owners friendly but in no way intrusive. We had some great wildlife walks from Swallow Barns - and only 15 minutes stroll to Chipping Sodbury Waitrose was an added bonus.

Property was fairly clean but there was some old cereal in one kitchen cupboard and lots of crumbs. Reasonable walk into town and walks from the door across the common. The kitchen extractor rattled quite loudly in the wind. Shelf in the shower would be good.

We enjoyed our stay at Swallow Barns, the cottage itself was of a high standard.

The bedrooms and bathrooms were well designed. The living and dining areas were excellent. The kitchen too. The latter could be improved with some small additions to the implements provided such as tongs, a sieve and a milk jug, but these did not detract from our overall enjoyment of an attractive and comfortable and relaxing cottage. Looking forward to a return visit sometime. Many thanks to our hosts!

Perfect break away for my Mum & me, in very well appointed and comfortable 2 bedroom barn. It was a very peaceful, relaxed place to stay with everything we needed - we loved the bathrooms, comfy beds, and beautiful open plan kitchen & living space.

Swallow Barns is recommended as a comfortable holiday cottage.

It is in a quiet location yet very near to the delightful Chipping Sodbury and has easy access to the M4. Colin and Mary were helpful and friendly and we thank them for their hospitality.

A really lovely comfortable cottage for either two (as we were) or a family of four.

Lovely and quiet but very close to a pub for good food and lots of amenities. Lovely friendly owners, on hand if needed but not intrusive in any way.

We booked the cottage to stay in waiting for our house to be finished.

The cooking facilities were basic which was to be expected for a holiday property but if you were eating out most of the time adequate. One problem was the extractor fan flap to the EnSuite which when the wind was in a certain direction made a noise all night. The owner was aware but not yet come up with a solution. The property is beautiful and comfortable.

Beautifully decorated and well kitted out, it’s the perfect base to explore the area. Was greeted by the owners & they were so friendly & nothing too much trouble. Would highly recommend a stay here!

Lovely place located in a very quiet location, everything very comfortable and beautifully decorated, all brand new.

Colin was very nice and welcoming. As a suggestion, a little shelf in the walk in shower to put on the shampoo and shower gel and a little bin in the bedroom,near the vanity table would be good to have. Anyway, a fantastic place to spend a holiday. Thank you Mary and Colin!

The owners were incredibly welcoming and kind and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The property was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and very quiet. We have stayed in many rental homes over the years and we think this is one of the very best - we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The location is fantastic, a fairly short drive to both Bath and Bristol. It's within walking distance of the village centre and a couple of minutes' drive to a large Tesco. We would love to stay here again!

Colin & Mary have created a fabulous home from home with swallow barn.

They gave us the most lovely welcome, it was easy to collect keys and access and then they just left us to enjoy our holiday knowing they were there if we needed them. Very clean and well thought out with all we needed both at the cottage and locally. Such a beautiful space to explore from. . We would definitely be back! . One point to make, when it’s windy the extractor fan in the en suite flaps which did keep me awake the second night. Just mentioning as maybe a little foam padding could stop this and help future guests. This in no way affected our stay, I’m a light sleeper anyway! I would fully recommend and return in future.

Mary and colin were very welcoming and wonderful to meet in beautiful surroundings Our accommodation was brand new and were the first in.

So everything was immaculate. An old working farm in a very quiet area over looking the countryside. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay and would definitely return A++++
