“We had a lovely week staying at this cottage, the treats, coffee and tea left for our arrival were a lovely touch.”

The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, crockery and cutlery and we were able to cook meals without issue. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, crockery and cutlery and we were able to cook meals without issue. The look of the cottage is lovely and being so close to the beach was a huge plus for us as we could walk down whenever we wanted. It is comfortable and felt like a real home from home. The things we noticed that needed some looking at were covers and cushions in the lounge and sunroom looking a bit old and worn, the stone flooring into the sunroom was loose and needs repairing, the garden was overgrown and we didn't really use it as the brambles kept catching the legs of my children where they were so long. The biggest issue for us was the shower, we had been left instructions on how to use it as it would only heat up if a hot tap was left on in the sink. With four people showering this was a pain! We struggled to get the temperature right and didn't like the idea of having a scolding hot tap running whilst we washed. Not only because it was dangerous but also it's a waste of water. Despite this we did have a fantastic week and my youngest son struggled to leave on the Friday as he loved it so much. I could definitely see us coming back and would hope the shower and other small issues would be resolved by next year.

The property

What a view!

Greeb Rocks Cottage is a true gem of a Cornish cottage.

Tucked away down a quiet no-through lane, a few minutes walk from the heart of Marazion and a short stroll to the beach, this cute cottage is a great spot to enjoy a true "Ocean View"!

From an elevated glass room off the Living Room , you will enjoy a stunning vista of St Michael's Mount, Mounts Bay and Penzance in the distance, and (to be honest!) do little else as it is that simply jaw dropping!

The cottage is very typical of the region, atmospheric and welcoming with many period features plus modern touches like a cosy wood burning stove for cooler evenings.

Upstairs are two bedrooms and a bathroom, with the master enjoying a superb view from the bed!

Relax and admire the awe-inspiring views of sea and sky, whatever the weather, from the comfort of the sun room or hole up in the snug sitting room with its welcoming wood burning stove and original stone walls after a bracing walk along the beach.

On a summer's evening, you'll find the balcony attached to the main bedroom is the perfect spot for an evening drink as the sun sets.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.
